About Us

BXL works with employers, education and government to increase employability and life skills enabling people to be ready for work.

Beginning the journey at primary school, we capture imaginations and explore the world of work in an inspiring and engaging way. Moving on to secondary school, we motivate teenagers to develop skills and we support teachers to enhance their curriculum delivery and subject knowledge. At college,  we shape students into employable adults and get them ready for work. In employment, our support continues with adult guidance and to complete the lifecycle, we bring employers back into education to support and nurture new ideas from the next generation of workers.

iebe logoBXL Education Business Partnership is a member of the newly-formed Institute for Education Business Excellence (formerly the NEBPN).  The IEBE is the first organisation of its kind, bringing together all those working in the field of pre-19 education business partnership, and is backed by Government, business leaders and education.  It is the next step in a journey of quality improvement and growing professionalism that has been undertaken by NEBPN members over the last three years.  The IEBE’s first priority is to design a framework of professional recognition and development across the sector.  This will complement the DCSF’s National Standard for Education Business Partnership Organisations published in May 2008  The Institute will set standards for all those working in the field, build leadership capacity and drive quality and innovation in education business partnership, with a view to further improving young people’s attainment, achievement and life chances.  Above all, as a member of the IEBE, BXL EBP will work to improve the learning outcomes of young people and ensure their economic and social success.

BXL Education Business Partnership is working towards the new National Quality Standard accreditation – the Award for Education Business Excellence.  This will ensure that BXL EBP is nationally recognised as meeting the rigorous standards set for organisations working in partnership with business, schools and colleges.
